Vintage southwest turquoise decorative stamped hollow silver bead necklace. This necklace has beautiful cut and polished spiderweb turquoise beads that graduate in size down both sides of the necklace. The turquoise appears to have come from different mines with the desired appearance of all displaying a spiderweb matrix. The artist has added two (2) large decorative stamped hollow sterling silver barrel beads along with a very large decorative stamped curved hollow sterling focal bead that supports an oval set turquoise stone that hangs free from the bottom. The stampwork displays curved arrows and other tribal symbols. The complete necklace has a sterling silver hook-n-eye clasp supported with a corrugated sterling bead on both ends of the clasp. The necklace measures 20 1/2” long end to end with a wearable length of 11 1/2” measured down one side from clasp to bottom of the free hanging oval turquoise focal setting. The turquoise beads range between 8mm to 16mm (approx. 5/16” to 3/4”) in size. The side hollow sterling barrel beads each measure 29mm by 12mm (approx. 1 1/16” by 9/16”) with the larger curved hollow sterling bead measuring 72mm by 18mm (approx. 2 13/16” by 11/16”). The free hanging oval turquoise stone is smooth silver bezel set and measures 1 1/2” by 1 1/16” which includes the sterling setting. The complete necklace weighs 110.9 grams (3.91 oz or 3.57 ozt) and is hallmarked with a symbol - STERLING (see pictures). Not sure if this is native made or not so we have tagged it as “southwest”.
