Vintage Navajo nine (9) stone turquoise shield and concho leather bowguard cuff. The silversmith has created the bowguard shield using five (5) turquoise nuggets each set into sawtooth bezels and applying four (4) repousse stamps that resemble a cross. Adding decorative stampwork between the repousse’ and along the scallop cut outer rim of the shield. The artist also created four (4) turquoise flower stamped conchos mounting two (2) to both sides of the shield. All attached to a black patent leather cuff. We have added new black leather tie cords

The bowguard leather cuff measures 3” by 8 1/2” across with the shield measuring 2 7/8” by 2” across. Each concho measures 1” diameter. The bowguard weighs 72.7 grams (2.56 oz). The turquoise nuggets are stabilized Sleeping Beauty. The leather cuff will fit between a 7” to 8” wrist and you can cut small strips of leather off to make it fit a smaller wrist.
