Item #955H- Navajo Multi Stone and Turquoise Rubbing Stone Sterling Silver Beaded Necklace by EM Teller
NEW! Navajo single strand coral and turquoise necklace by Mary Teller. Mary has made use of mostly brown coral and black onyx beads with a nice highly polished, high quality Kingman turquoise rubbing stone. I call it a rubbing stone because in some religious circles it would be used to enhance prayer by rubbing the stone. It has a certain curvature that allows you to perfectly rub up and down your thumb or finger in prayer somewhat similar to holding a rosary necklace. The necklace has polished brown (burnt reddish orange) 4mm x 5 to 6mm branch coral beads, 4mm round onyx and 4mm onyx disc beads, 7mm square cut and polished abalone beads, 4mm blue turquoise disc beads, 6 to 7mm orange-red spiny oyster disc beads, 9mm fluted silver saucer beads, and 4mm round silver beads along with the large turquoise polished stone measuring 28mm by 18mm (approximately 1 1/8” by 3/4”). All strung on nylon coated beading wire with a custom made and decorative stamped double shepherd’s hook clasp. They use a double hook clasp to allow ease in adding an extension chain if desired.
