Beautiful bold vintage Navajo four (4) piece onyx inlaid ranger belt buckle set The silversmith has created a total of four (4) pieces starting with the actual buckle displaying a solid oval cut plate with repeating stamped prayer feathers running around the outer scallop cut rim. He adds a deep smooth bezel that holds five (5) hand cut pieces of black onyx that's channel inlaid flush to the surface of the silver. Finishing the buckle the artist adds a repeat stamped smooth wire along the inside opening along with the belt set pin. The artist continues making two (2) identical belt slides each with three (3) channel inlaid onyx stones and finishes the set with a three (3) stone onyx inlaid belt tip. The ranger buckle set was made during the 70's-80's and has never been used. How do I know that? The black leather display belt will have to be cut before use since they used permanent rivets and not the type rivets with screw heads or snaps where you can remove and reuse the belt. 

The ranger buckle set is made for the wider 3/4" wide ranger belt. The buckle measures 2" tall and 2 1/2" across with both slides measuring 3/4" by 1/2" across and the end tip measuring 5/8" by 1" across. The complete set with black leather sample belt weighs 65.5 grams (2.31 oz or 2.11 ozt) and is hallmarked Leonard Platero in custom cursive - STERLING - SC inside a cloud - Copyright Insignia. The belt tip also has SC inside cloud - STERLING - Copyright Insignia. Obviously the silversmith was Navajo Leonard Platero while working for Silver Cloud Inc of Albuquerque, NM. This ranger buckle set would be considered "New - old stock" since it's never been worn. Great Deal at  $579.95
