Wide heavy Navajo sterling silver storyteller overlay cuff bracelet. The silver overlay displays two (2) Hogans (homes) along with a flat bed wagon and many barrels. Setting with two (2) plateaus in the background along with clouds and either a sun or full moon. The silversmith runs three (3) strips of silver above and below the storyteller which run the full length of the cuff and completes the framing by adding wide strips in center that fill in the cuff on both sides of the storyteller. All pieces of the overlay are polished smooth and the background of the storyteller is blackened, scorched, and slightly textured silver.

The wide cuff measures 1 1/2” wide at the ends and 1 5/8” across the dome shaped face of the cuff. It holds an inner circumference of 5 3/4” plus a 1 9/16” opening. It will fit a 7 1/8” to 7 1/4” wrist as is and cannot be adjusted. I wear a 7 1/8” wrist size and it’s comfortable, but slightly loose. The heavy cuff weighs 102.1 grams (3.60 oz or 3.28 ozt) and is hallmarked D. Reeves - STERLING. It’s either David Reeves (deceased brother of Sunshine Reeves) or David’s nephew Delayne (son of Sunshine). From my understanding Delayne used his uncles hallmark after David’s death. We picked this bold storyteller cuff up from a Native American jewelry collector so it could easily have been David Reeves that made it?
