Hopi late 1990-2000’s made Bear Tracks with Water Symbols oval pendant with handmade “Figure Eight” sterling chain. Made by Gene Pooyouma, he’s created a nice “Bear along River” oval storyteller pendant in a silver overlay style. Displaying three (3) bear paw tracks walking along symbols representing running water or river cut out and laid over a textured oxidized black silver base. He finishes the pendant by attaching a sterling silver bale at top. Mr. Pooyouma continues by creating a handmade sterling chain making oblong oval links and crimping each link in center to finish with a “figure eight” styled link chain. He attaches a handmade shepherds hook at one end.

The oval pendant measures 1 5/8” by 1” across and including the bale stands 2 1/8” tall. The chain measures 24 1/2” long end to end with the complete pendant and chain necklace measuring 14” measured from shepherds clasp straight down to bottom of pendant. The complete necklace weighs 24.8 grams and is hallmarked with Gene Pooyouma’s Sun and Corn Hallmark - STERLING. He began producing in 1992 and still producing presently.
