Large beautiful vintage Navajo turquoise and coral decorated silver belt buckle. The silversmith has used a very large cut and polished chunk of branch coral mounted in the center along with four (4) cut and polished turquoise nuggets. The artist has mounted the turquoise nuggets, one in each corner of the buckle. The turquoise appears to be the old high quality Kingman found back in the 50’s-70’s. All of the stones and coral are set into smooth silver bezels. The silversmith decorates around the stones using long silver scrolls, variable sized silver drops, and silver buttons. All mounted to an oxidized blackened silver base. The artist continues by running twisted wire across the top and bottom of the buckle and finishes decorating by framing the outer rim of the buckle with heavy gauge deep stamped silver wire. The artist completes the large decorated belt buckle by mounting a stationary belt clasp and solid set pin on the back along with applying a high sheen polishing to the belt buckle.

The large belt buckle measures 2 1/8” tall by 3 1/2” across and weighs 89.1 grams ( 3.14 oz or 2.86 ozt). The artist has hallmarked the belt buckle with double leaves. We’re not familiar with the hallmark, but I can vouch the artist has used top of the line high quality stones and coral along with going the extra step of applying a high quality polishing to the front and back of the buckle!
