Beautiful vintage Navajo custom made five piece squashblossom necklace set! The set consists of a medium sized squashblossom necklace with matching bracelet, ring, and earrings. I've attributed this set as being a custom made requested set from the 80's or 90's whereas you rarely see Native American silversmiths use amethyst. If a lavender or purple stone is used, it's normally sugalite or charoite. As I describe the set I'll consider a "setting" as one (1) piece of branch coral surrounded by six (6) oval cut amethyst stones with silver raindrops separating each stone from the other.
Starting with the necklace, it's made with a total of one hundred twenty four (124) sterling silver 8mm round seamed beads, twelve (12) amethyst and coral setting blossoms, and an eight (8) setting amethyst and coral naja which includes the free hanging setting in center. All of the coral and amethyst stones are set in smooth bezels. Each blossom consists of a single setting with a three point tubular flute attached underneath.

The blossoms measure approximately 1 3/8" by 3/4". The beautiful naja consists of seven (7) settings mounted to a double half round wire horseshoe with a single setting that hangs freely in the center. The naja measures 2 5/8" tall by 3 1/8" across. The full necklace measures 26" end to end with a wearable length of 15 1/4" long and is strung on silver chain with a hook-n-eye clasp. It weighs 160.2 grams (5.65 ounces) and is stamped B - Sterling. I attribute the necklace and it was sold to us as being made by Navajo silversmith Wilson Begay.
The bracelet consists of three (3) settings lined across a heavy gauge double half round wire cuff which has been soldered together on each end continuing up each side about an inch. It measures 3/4" wide with an inner circumference of 5 7/8" and a 1" opening. It will fit a 6 3/4" to 6 7/8" wrist as is and could be slightly adjusted. It weighs 37.5 grams (1.32 ounces)and has also been stamped B - Sterling by the silversmith.
The ring is made with one (1) setting with an adjustable type silver band which starts out wide and tapers down to a point. The ring face obviously measures approximately 3/4" diameter. It's a size 7 as is and can be adjusted to fit. It weighs 9.5 grams and is also stamped B - Sterling.
Lastly, the matching earrings consist of one (1) setting which dangle from a silver half bead clip on ear clasp. They also measure 3/4" diameter and both weigh 12 grams together. One is stamped B - Sterling. They could easily be changed out to an ear hook or beaded stud if desired. Definitely a beautiful and unique custom made set in excellent condition!  $2879.95
