Beautiful vintage 70's Navajo eleven piece turquoise cloud and sun feathers concho link belt! The belt consists of eleven (11) conchos including the matching buckle all connected together with large circular silver rings. The silversmith adds seven (7) of the large rings at the end for size adjustment. Each concho consists of a cut and polished blue turquoise nugget with dark brown matrix. Each stone is set in a saw tooth bezel and mounted in the center of the domed scallop edge hand cut concho. The conchos all have matching stampwork of a cloud around the stone with sixteen (16) feathers clustered around the cloud. Each feather has a full sun stamped on it along with sunrise stamped tips. The artist adds a wire hoop on each side to connect the large jump rings and the buckle has a larger gauge hand made wire clip. Each concho including the buckle measures 1 5/8" by 2 1/8" across and the circular rings measure 5/8" diameter. The complete belt measures 38" end to end and weighs 132.7 grams (4.68 ounces or 4.27 troy ounces). The belt will fit a waist between 34" to 38" and can even fit smaller by clipping the buckle between conchos. It is hallmarked WS - STERLING by the Navajo silversmith.
