Solid vintage pre-50’s Navajo Striped Pink Agate decorated sun and moon bracelet. The silversmith has used a large oval cut and polished Striped Pink Agate stone mounting it into a smooth silver bezel. The silversmith has wrapped the stone with twisted wire and encased the stone with repeating silver drops and crescent moon wire (sun and moon). The artist has mounted the setting to a very stout and solid three (3) piece heavy gauge round wire cuff which has been soldered together up both sides and separates to accommodate the setting. The artist has added large solid silver buttons (suns) to each side where the cuff wires separate.

The bracelet measures 1 3/4” wide at the setting and tapers down to 3/8” wide at each end. The cuff holds an inner circumference of 5 1/2” plus a 1 1/16” opening. It will fit a wrist size of 6 3/8” to 6 1/2” and is very solid. It could be slightly adjusted, but it’s going to take some serious effort. It weighs 68.3 grams (2.41 oz or 2.20 ozt) and is unsigned sterling or coin silver. Coin silver is 90% silver and sterling is 92.5% silver. The darker tarnish makes me lean more to sterling, but it’s very well known the older silversmiths would melt down coins and create their own raw materials due to the scarcity or availability of raw silver out west at the time. Most dimes, quarters, half dollars, and full dollars were 90% silver up til 1964. Anyway, bold solid vintage Navajo somewhat collector’s bracelet! $367.95
