Vintage Navajo Pilot Mountain turquoise double bear claw double feathers sterling silver bolo tie. The silversmith has created a rectangular setting with textured silver framed with thick gauge wire. He’s mounted an oval cut and polished turquoise nugget from the Pilot Mountain Mine in the center setting it in a scallop cut bezel. The artist continues by adding a bear claw in scallop bezel holder and a silver feather above and below the stone finishing decoration with stamped bird tracks at each of the four directional paths. The artist attaches a thumb locking bolo clasp on back and attaches a hand braided 4-ply black leather cord with decorative stamped bead tip end tips.

The bolo setting measures 2 1/2” by 1 5/8” across. The hand braided cord measures 38” long which includes the 2” long decorative stamped end tips. The complete bolo tie weighs 43.7 grams (1.54 oz or 1.40 ozt) and is hallmarked L over M - STERLING. We attribute the artist as Navajo silversmith Lonnie Miller.
