Large vintage Navajo spiderweb turquoise bolo tie. After searching different turquoise, I believe the stone is possibly from the Lone Mountain Mine. The silversmith has set the stone into a scallop cut bezel and encased it with decorative sun stamped smooth wire. The artist continues by adding a large leaf to both sides of the stone with large silver drops placed at both ends of both leaves. The artist attached a thumb locking bolo clasp on the back.

The actual bolo pendant measures 2 1/8” by 2 3/8” across and is attached to a 4-ply black braided leather cord with silver end tips. The cord measures 44” long which includes the 2 1/4” long sterling seamed bead end tips. the complete bolo tie weighs 58.6 grams (2.07 oz or 1.89 ozt) and is stamped Sterling - W. I’m attributing the piece to Woodard’s Indian Shop. Marion Woodard operated shops from Gallup and Santa Fe, NM to Tucson and Scottsdale, AZ starting as far back as 1943. We received two (2) similar bolo ties with the same hallmark. Only difference is the stone mainly plus the other has a BENNETT PAT.PEND. thumb clasp which leads me to say they were made in late 70’s to early-mid 1980’s. $567.95
